I first met Nicola and Tom several years ago, when Nicola was a bridesmaid at her sister Sian's wedding beautiful rustic wedding in Wirksworth, Derbyshire. Nicola and Tom are such a lovely couple and I felt instantly welcomed by their families.
Nicola and Tom's big day started at Nicola's childhood home in Wiksworth, where she was getting pampered alongside her mum and sister. After hair and makeup had been finished and final touches were made we raised a toast with her parents before heading off to meet with Groom Tom who was getting ready at the The Talbot Hotel in Belper. Tom was looking very smart in a three piece suit with lemon yellow bow ties and detailing. Bride Nicola had thoughtfully arranged a gift for her husband to be, in the form of a beautiful watch - a sure fire way to make sure the groom isn't late to the wedding!
After several photographs with Tom, his best man, father and fellow groomsmen I made my way over to Blackbrook House where our Bride was enjoying a delicious breakfast with champagne. We arranged time for a few pre-wedding photographs before our Bride and her bridesmaids got ready.
The wedding ceremony itself took place in the main room at Blackbrook House, which was beautifully decorated with corn and whitewashed furniture and candles making for a lovely rustic and countryside feel. Our bride and groom exchanged their wedding vows in a lovely wedding ceremony complete with several readings from family members.
Once the formalities were over the newlyweds made their way outside into the sunshine and guests were able to enjoy cocktails and reception drinks served by the attentive team at Blackbrook House. We allowed time for some all important family photographs, which were captured outside the wedding venue in the warm May sunshine. In a break with tradition our couple choose to do their speeches before the meal and in fact they were done outside on the steps of Blackbrook House itself. The speeches were fantastic with plenty of laughter and tears!
Guests then made their way inside to enjoy a delicious meal and could then party the night away in true style with live music from an awesome band known to the couple.
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Davis! What an amazing day!!
