Clive and Sue are a truly lovely couple and it was a real pleasure and honour to photograph their wedding celebrations for them. I actually met with Clive and Sue at a wedding fair at St George's Park, Burton on Trent, where Clive was exhibiting his fantastic handmade artisan candles. After working with Clive on various photography projects, the conversation turned to weddings. Clive and Sue were planning to get married at Tutbury Castle during December and were keen to have the day photographed. After meeting with them and discussing various photograph ideas, the couple booked me for their wedding.
The months flew by and before we knew it December was upon us. Sue arrived at Tutbury Castle in style in a beautiful wedding car, dressed in a truly stunning cream and gold medieval gown. Her sister also wore an amazing black and royal blue velvet gown and the two sisters looked fantastic! The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Great Hall, the room where Charles 1st stayed in the civil war, in front of the couples close family and friends. Once the couple had made their wedding vows and exchanged rings, guests were invited downstairs to enjoy mulled wines and drinks. Sadly the weather was not fully on our side and we had to take a number of the family photographs inside but just as quickly as it started, the rain stopped and we were able to get some fabulous shots in the Castle Grounds. Sue was very keen to get a photograph in the Castle Folly, and so we braved the steep incline for those all important couple shots. Guests were then invited to join the newlyweds in the Great Hall where a delicious three course meal was served in front of a roaring fire and candle lit backdrop. Sue had chosen a number of very adorable hedgehog place settings and ever thoughtful Clive had made some amazing personalised wedding favours to take away with them after the wedding. A truly wonderful gift and lasting momento of the wedding celebrations. After a superb set of speeches and toasts, carriages awaited to take the guests home. A truly stunning medieval styled wedding for a very lovely couple. Thank you for choosing Victoria Dolman Photography and congratulations to you both!
